We were a group of outdoor-loving friends and fellow bakers, gathered around a pot of coffee in the dead of winter. As it swung on a branch over a makeshift stove, Sol became inspired to start modernizing age- old baking and cooking tools.
Our work began between the folds of vintage catalogs, and continued onto the shiny webpages of French cookware brands. With painstaking prototyping and an iterative design team, we redeveloped some of the most beloved tools in the kitchen.
While we hoped passionate bakers would like our products, we could not predict the overwhelming love. Our launch on online marketplaces brought in thousands of orders and hundreds of virtual fan-mail pieces. We felt a colony forming.
Within months of our soft launch we found organic followings on social media and baker forums. Krustic’s premise and products resonated with a growing community of home bakers, and we vowed to continue finding ripe inspiration.
By 2024, we launched Krustic.com as the official online home of all our exceptional products. We moved into a proper kitchen, erm, office. And the little pot of coffee that kickstarted it all was replaced with a supaerautomatic machine.
